Pep Guardiola has been nominated for August’s Premier League Manager of the Month award.
The City boss is one of five managers in the frame for the award.
Guardiola is up against Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, West Ham’s David Moyes and new Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou.
The Etihad boss has overseen a fine start to the new Premier League campaign, with City the only side still boasting a 100 per cent record after recording four wins on the bounce, with three of those victories coming in August.
We kicked off the new campaign with a fine 3-0 win at Burnley, then overcame Newcastle 1-0 after having also secured the UEFA Super Cup.
City then ended the month with a hard-fought 2-1 win away at Sheffield United thanks to Rodrigo’s dramatic late winner.
That game also saw assistant coach Juanma Lillo guide proceedings from Bramall Lane with Pep overseeing match planning remotely after having undergone back surgery earlier in the month.
